A number of Vecom’s cleaning agents used in the food industry have been registered by NSF International. Vecom is one of the first producers of cleaning agents to apply for and receive this approval for their products related to the transport of food.
The approved cleaning agents are suitable for transport of food by road (truck/tank cleaning) but also by sea and comply with all the latest regulations for cleaning cargo holds MARPOL/IMO.
NSF uses the terms “registered” or “listed” in connection with a product, good, component, system, material, compound or ingredient (“Product”). A Product that is registered or listed means that NSF: (1) reviewed the product’s full formulation, label, and supporting documentation; (2) determined at the time of the review that the Product complies with the relevant NSF Nonfood Compounds Program Guidelines. After NSF registers or lists the Product, NSF authorizes the manufacturer of the Product to use the NSF Mark on or in connection with the sale, use or distribution of that Product. The NSF Mark conveys that an independent, third-party organization (NSF) has determined that the Product complies with the relevant Nonfood Compounds Program Guidelines and 21 CFR.
